Terms and conditions for Service providers

Welcome to Rento. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Rento platform by service providers offering event equipment and related services through Rento. By registering as a Service Provider, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. General Provisions

1.1 These Terms apply to all Service Providers listing services or equipment on the Rento platform.

1.2 Rento reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted and effective immediately.

1.3 By registering, you confirm that you are legally authorized to operate, and have the authority to enter binding agreements.

1.4 Providers must review and accept these Terms before listing services.

2. Service Provider Registration & Categories

2.1 Providers may select up to five (5) service categories relevant to their offerings.

2.2 Providers must ensure all listed services, descriptions, pricing, and images are accurate and up to date.

2.3 Rento reserves the right to approve, reject, or remove any listing that does not meet platform standards.

2.4 Misrepresentation of services or fraudulent activity will result in immediate suspension or termination.

3. Commission and Fees

3.1 The Service Provider agrees to pay Rento a commission fee of 2.5% on the total value of each confirmed booking made through the platform.

3.2 The commission will be automatically deducted from payments processed through Rento, or invoiced separately if applicable.

3.3 Providers are responsible for any applicable taxes, including VAT, on their earnings.

3.4 Failure to settle commission fees may result in account suspension, withholding of payments, or legal action.

4. Booking and Fulfillment

4.1 Providers must honor all confirmed bookings and deliver services as described.

4.2 Providers are responsible for ensuring availability, quality, and timely execution of services.

4.3 Any inability to fulfill a booking must be communicated immediately to Rento. Repeated cancellations may result in penalties or removal.

4.4 Providers must ensure their equipment is safe, functional, and suitable for the intended use.

5. Pricing and Payments

5.1 Providers are responsible for setting their own pricing on the platform.

5.2 All prices must be transparent and inclusive of applicable charges unless clearly stated otherwise.

5.3 Payments may be processed via Rento, and payouts to Providers will be made after successful service completion, subject to commission deduction.

5.4 Rento reserves the right to hold payments in case of disputes, complaints, or violations.

6. Provider Responsibilities

6.1 Providers are fully responsible for their equipment, staff, logistics, and service delivery.

6.2 Providers must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards in Saudi Arabia.

6.3 Providers must maintain professionalism and deliver services to a reasonable industry standard.

6.4 Providers are responsible for any damage, injury, or loss caused by their services or equipment.

7. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

7.1 Providers must clearly define their cancellation policies within their listings.

7.2 Failure to show up or deliver services without valid reason may result in penalties, compensation claims, or account suspension.

7.3 Rento may intervene in disputes and issue refunds at its discretion.

8. Ratings, Reviews, and Performance

8.1 Providers must maintain acceptable service standards.

8.2 Rento reserves the right to suspend or remove Providers with consistently poor performance or negative feedback.

9. Platform Usage and Restrictions

9.1 Providers may not bypass the platform to complete bookings privately with customers introduced via Rento.

9.2 Any attempt to avoid commission fees will result in immediate termination and possible legal action.

9.3 Providers must not misuse the platform (e.g., fake listings, manipulation of availability, or pricing abuse).

10. Liability and Indemnity

10.1 Rento's liability is limited to the commission amount received for the booking in dispute.

11. Intellectual Property and Branding

11.1 Providers grant Rento the right to use their logos, images, and service descriptions for marketing and promotional purposes.

11.2 Providers may not use Rento's brand without prior written consent.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

12.1 Rento may suspend or terminate a Provider account for:

  • Breach of Terms
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Poor service quality
  • Non-payment of fees

12.2 Providers may request account termination, subject to settlement of all outstanding obligations.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

13.2 Any disputes shall first be resolved amicably. If unresolved, they will be referred to the competent courts in Saudi Arabia.

14. Force Majeure

14.1 Rento is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, government actions, or unforeseen disruptions.
